Uzbekistan energy efficiency: implications for Spanish engineering companies
Uzbekistan is considering energy-efficient upgrades to pumping stations and public facilities alongside broader private-sector participation in energy infrastructure. These topics were discussed during the President’s dialogue with investors on 16 October 2026.
For Spanish engineering and technology companies, KHESH GRUPO sees a potential area for further assessment: pumping equipment, electric drives, automation, metering and energy management. The commercial relevance of each solution will depend on the facilities concerned and their operating conditions.
The practical starting point is to identify a project owner, establish a reliable baseline for energy use and define a technical scope that can be evaluated. Responsibilities, the investment model and the method for measuring savings would then need to be agreed for each initiative.
